Balliol College

Visitor attractions · Oxford

Historic Oxford college on Broad Street whose quads, gardens, chapel and hall are open to visitors most days.

About Balliol College

Balliol College sits on Broad Street in the centre of Oxford and welcomes paying visitors on most days from mid-morning until late afternoon, or dusk in winter. Entry covers the gardens, the Chapel and the Hall, and each visitor is given a map and guide to follow a set route.

The Buttery in the Garden Quad is open to visitors at set times. Step-free routes, a lift to Hall and a portable chapel ramp are available, and groups are asked to phone the Lodge before arriving because the college closes on some event days.
