About Oxford Wine Company

The Oxford Wine Company is a local independent wine merchant that takes its name from an Oxford wine business founded in 1840. The present company was revived by Ted Sandbach in the early 1990s, starting from his garage, and now runs shops on Little Clarendon Street in Jericho, Turl Street and Botley Road, with its headquarters near Witney.

Alongside retail, it supplies restaurants and bars, sells more than 2,000 wines, spirits and beers online, runs WSET courses through the Oxford Wine School, and holds tastings and dinners in its Jericho Wine Rooms. It also supplies drinks for weddings, parties and university events.
