About Rose & Crown
The Rose & Crown is a freehouse on North Parade Avenue in North Oxford. A pub has traded on the site since 1863, and the Hall family, who took over in 1983, bought the freehold in 2010 and now run it independently.
Adnams Southwold Bitter has been the regular session ale since the early 1990s. The pub serves food, takes table bookings and hosts live jazz, and when the avenue is closed to traffic during the day its central section fills with tables and chairs for outdoor drinking. Gift vouchers are sold through the pub's website.
